Bhubaneswar: Animesh Kujur and Srabani Nanda fetched Odisha a 200m ‘double’ in the 63rd National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships at Panchkula.
The 21-year-old Animesh won the men’s 200m race in an impressive time of 20.65 seconds, finishing comfortably ahead of Andhra’s N Srinivas (20.95) and Ragul Kumar G of Tamil Nadu (21.15).
Kujur had earlier bagged gold in the Fed Cup.
Srabani made it a grand double for Odisha on Day 4 as she clocked 23.89 seconds to win the women’s 200m.
She pipped MP’s Madhumita Deb (23.93) and Haryana’s Nancy (23.95).
Srabani, who claimed gold in the Indian GP-2 a month ago, was part of the 4x100m Odisha relay team which won bronze a day ago.
