Cuttack: The National Lok Adalat was held via virtual mode in Orissa High Court on December 19. All 30 district courts and Taluk level courts participated in the Lok Adalat.
The Lok Adalat was held under the guidance of the Chief Justice of Orissa High Court Mohammad Rafiq, Justice Sanju Panda, Justice Chitta Ranjan Das, and High Court Legal Services Committee.
Chaired by Justice SK Mishra, Justice SK Sahoo, Justice KR Mohapatra, Justice Sanjeeb Kumar Panigrahi and Justice Savitri Ratho constituted the said Lok Adalat.
The entire process was conducted amongst the judges, lawyers, litigants, insurance companies and bank representatives.
A total of 105 motor accident claim appeals were disposed of and an amount of Rs 5,75,81,008 was awarded by Orissa High Court.
Likewise, in the District and Taluk levels, a total of 81,869 cases have been disposed of.
