Bhubaneswar: Mina Santa bagged a silver to add to Odisha’s medal haul at the National Weightlifting Championships in Tamil Nadu’s Nagercoil.
Odisha Weightlifting HPC trainee Mina achieved a total lift of 162 kg to finish second in the women’s 55 kg category.
There were high expectations from KISS student Mina, who had struck gold in the Khelo India National Ranking tournament in Himachal Pradesh last June.
Mina’s silver follows gold medals won by Jyoshna Sabar and Jhili Dalabehera, and silver by Preetismita Bhoi at the ongoing National Championships.
