Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday directed the Water Resources Department to expedite the construction work for four new irrigation projects worth Rs 112 crore.
The Chief Minister directed the concerned department to complete tendering process for these new projects.
As decided, Rs 12.80 crore will be invested for carrying out digging of the south main canal and other construction work of the Deo Irrigation Project while Rs 39.78 crore and will be earmarked for the main canal of Kanpur Irrigation Project.
Besides, Rs 20.66 crore will be spent for construction of Gadabuguda, Tikiguda and other small canals, while Rs 40.68 crore will be spent for construction of a four-lane bridge over Kanpur Spill Channel in Rimuli-Rakshi-Rajamunda area.
