Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday called upon newly appointed officials of different departments to work sincerely to achieve the government’s objective of fastest transformation of Odisha in shortest possible time.
As many as 181 new officials joined their respective departments at a function in Bhubaneswar. They included 104 teacher educators in School and Mass Education departmet, 62 assistant directors (Law) in Home department and 15 assistant directors in Planning and Convergence department.
Addressing the officials at an orientation programme of the officials, the chief minister said, “All of us have a common objective to see Odisha transform in the fastest time possible. All of us need to serve with a passion to achieve the goal.”
Stating that the government’s 5T initiative has accelerated the development process, Naveen asked the officials to follow the principles of the programme.
Minister of Planning and Convergence Rajendra Dholakia and Minister of School and Mass Education Sudam Mandri spoke on the initiatives and objectives of their departments.
Chief Secretary PK Jena, additional chief secretary, Home department DK Singh and School & Mass Education secretary Aswathi S also spoke.
