Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik dedicated 138 transformed schools in 4 districts to the people on second day of 5T School Transformation programme on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said total 1075 schools in 30 districts have undergone total make-over under the programme in the first phase. While 50 schools in Hinjili have been dedicated to people in August, the rest 1025 schools will be inaugurated by November 24, he added.
He inaugurated 10 schools in Boudh, 11 in Sonepur, 17 in Bhadrak and 100 in Keonjhar districts on the second day while those in Sundargarh, Cuttack, Balasore, Nabarangpur and Kandhamal were dedicated on the first day.
The chief minister said since school career is the most important phase of one’s life, the government has been taking all possible steps to promote the talent of the children. “Though children constitute one-third of population, they are our total future and hence, it is our responsibility to take care of them,” he added.
“I want the children of our state to be ahead in every field, be it academic, sports, music or technology. You should dream big and have the confidence to face all challenges in life,” the chief minister said.
Participating in an interaction session with the chief minister, the students of all four schools spoke about their experience on school transformation programme.
Senior officers of different departments were present on the occasion, while secretary (5T) to chief minister VK Pandian coordinated it.
