Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday inaugurated 10 more ‘transformed schools’ at Hinjilicut in Ganjam district in the third phase of the high school transformation programme under the 5T Initiative of the state government.
Speaking on the occasion, Naveen said, “Student career is the most precious period of on’s life. Hence the students should focus on making best use of this time for development of their talent.”
He further said school transformation programme is an endeavour of the government to enable the students to enjoy the learning process in a happy and satisfying environment.
The transformed schools that were inaugurated include Ganesh Vidyapitha in Krushnachhai panchayat; Alapur High School in Ralaba; Panchayat High School in Alarigada; Government High School in Kanchure; Dhabalpur High School; Samalai Vidyapitha in Burupada; Gobindapur High School; Kurula Government High School and Saru High School.
With the day’s inauguration, 30 transformed schools have been inaugurated so far. Already 50 schools have undergone transformation under the scheme and will be inaugurated soon.
In the first phase, 1,070 government schools in the state will be transformed with modern facilities like smart classrooms, e-library cum reading rooms, modern science laboratory, hygienic toilets, safe drinking water and sports infrastructures.
