Bargarh: Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik began campaigning for his party candidate, Rita Sahu, for the Bijepur Assembly by-polls in Bargarh district on Thursday.
The CM arrived at Laumunda in a helicopter and began his campaigning atop a hi-tech bus accompanied by a huge procession. He began with his customary address: “Apana mane khusi to? Mate asirbad karantu o Rita Sahunku sankha chinhare vote dei jayajukta karantu. Dhanyabad. Juhaar.” (Are you happy? Bless me and make Rita Sahu win by voting on the Conch symbol. Thank you).
According to the CM’s schedule, he will conduct road shows at 45 places in Bijepur constituency during his two-day visit.
On Thursday, he will hold road shows in Bijepur, Barpalli and Gaisilat blocks. He will stay at the inspection bungalow at Barpalli for the night.
On Friday, he will campaign in several areas of Gaisilat block and leave for Bhubaneswar at 3.30 pm.
