Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday requested the people of Tirtol constituency in Jagatsingihpur district to vote in favour of his party candidate Bijay Shankar Das.
Naveen, in his virtual poll campaign, expressed his inability to physically attend the rally in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, he promised the people to visit Tirtol and meet them in person after the improvement in the COVID-19 situation. “I am aware of your immense love for me. I will visit your area and oversee the ongoing development works,” he said.
Stating that the state government has taken necessary steps to regulate flood in Tirtol, he said that the creation of jobs for the unemployed youths is the top priority of his government.
Praising the works of the Mission Shakti in Tirtol, he urged the members to continue with their good work. “I am always with you to help in times of need,” the Chief Minister said.
While advising the people to strictly adhere to COVID-19 guidelines, he requested them to maintain social distancing norms at the polling booths.
The Chief Minister will conduct the virtual rally for the Balasore Sadar constituency on Thursday.
