Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday laid the foundation stone for Sivaji Patnaik Smruti Plaza in Bhubaneswar.
The chief minister laid the foundation stone on the occasion of first death anniversary of the veteran Communist leader of Odisha, late Sivaji Patnaik. The plaza will be set up in an area of 615 square metre close to CPI (M) office near Pal Heights at Jaydev Vihar in the city.
The plaza will showcase the contributions of the Communist leader towards development of the working class. Besides, it will be designed to present an aesthetically vibrant look to the area.
The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) has been entrusted the task of designing and constructing the plaza which will have movement corridor and interactive displays on the departed leader’s life, achievements and role in the Kisan Movement, Khet Majdoor Union and trade union movement in the state.
