Naveen On One-Day Visit To Boudh, Ganjam Districts

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday left for Boudh and Ganjam districts on a one-day visit.

Official sources said the chief minister will arrive at Kantamal in Boudh district around 11.40am and inaugurate 45 welfare projects, including four high-level bridges in Kantamal block, six road projects and four girls’ hostels with 100 beds each worth Rs 116 crore.

He will also lay foundation stones of two bridges in Boudh and Kantamal blocks, six piped water supply projects, a road project and a 100-bedded hostel for ST and ST girl students worth Rs 310.59 crore.

Besides, he will address a public meeting and give away financial assistance to beneficiaries of various schemes.

From Kantamal, the chief minister will leave for the district headquarters, where he will reach around 12.45pm. There, he will inaugurate 47 welfare projects worth Rs 76 crore, including four bridges between Boudh and Harabhanga, three road projects and 12 hostels. He will also lay the foundation stone of 28 projects worth Rs 467 crore, including five bridges, 13 road projects and five rural piped water supply projects. Later, he will address a public meeting and provide financial assistance to the beneficiaries.

The chief minister will later leave for Ganjam district and arrive in Bhanjanagar town around 3.10pm.

He will inaugurate a newly constructed bus stand, a new special sub-jail and a new building of the Town Hall worth Rs 21.26 crore. Apart from this, the chief minister will lay foundation stones of 24 projects worth Rs 86.69 crore, including 12 road projects in Bhanjanagar sub-division, flood safety project on the left bank of Kokalaba river, three bridges and a shelter home for the urban homeless.
