Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik arrived at the Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Odisha CM-designate Mohan Charan Majhi.
The former Chief Minister was seen interacting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah after reaching the venue of the oath-taking ceremony of the first BJP government in the state. He then seen occupying a seat near Union Ministers J P Nadda and Dharmendra Pradhan.
A host of VVIPs including Prime Minister Narendra Modi are attending the swearing-in ceremony of the first BJP government in the state.
Apart from PM Modi, several Union Ministers and Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states also reached the Janata Maidan to attend the oath-taking ceremony.
Sources said Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari have already reached the venue for the grand event.
Similarly, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai are also attending the event.
