Naveen Presents Rs 10L To Odisha Army Officer For Multiple World Records

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday presented Rs 10 lakh to Lt. Colonel Laxmidhar Bhuyan, SRO of Regimental Administration-7 and world record holder in several feats in appreciation of his achievements.

Naveen presented the cheque to Lt. Col. Bhuyan during the Army Officer’s visit to Naveen Nivas today.

Lt. Col. Bhuyan holds world record for ‘longest time hitting on hips by heels on headstand’ and running blind folded 100 meters carrying India Flag in semi-circular track.

The Chief Minister appreciated his fabulous feats and awarded him.

It may be mentioned that on Army Day celebrated on January 15, Lt. Col Bhuyan performed 13,725 hits on hips by heels on headstand Yoga position for one hour seven minutes and ten seconds despite being 20 per cent disable.

He has entered Guinness World Records, International Book of Records, Asia Book of Records, India Book of Records, Limca Book of Records, Best of India Records and Golden Book of Records.

He has also 8 World Records in “ Blind-folded 100 meters run with National Flag in Semi Circular Track in just one minute followed by Blind-folded Climbing of 20 feet ladder in 5 seconds and Blind-folded non-stop 13,986 times hitting by heels on headstand on top of 20 feet ladder.
