Naveen Reshuffles Party Office-Bearers

Bhubaneswar: In a sudden move, Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday made a minor reshuffle in the party office-bearers.

According to the reshuffle, Debasis Samantray has been removed as the general secretary and appointed as the Cuttack District BJD president.
Bimbadhar Kuanr has been appointed as the in-charge of Biju Shramika Samukhya, Chandrasekhar Sahu and Bikram Panda have been appointed as vice-president and general secretary respectively.
Similarly, Sasmit Patra has been appointed as the secretary of the BJD Minority Cell.
Besides, Ashish Chakraborty has been replaced by Bimbadhar Biswal as the Keonjhar District BJD president.
Apart from this, Pramod Rath has been removed as the Sambalpur District BJD president. Sources said that the party high command has taken a decision to remove Rath for protesting the Sambalpur MLA during the recent visit of the party observer of Sambalpur district, Pratap Deb, to Rengali.
