Bhubaneswar: For a change, chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday took to Koshali dialect to post a message on distribution of smart health cards under BSKY in Odisha’s Sonepur district.

Naveen skipped Odia language and wrote in the local dialect of western Odisha in his post in the morning before attending the function in Sonepur on virtual mode.

The tweet translated into English goes like this: “I feel happy to meet the people of Subarnapur. I am going to dedicate some projects and lay the foundation stone of others and distribute Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana smart health cards.”

Later, the Chief Minister launched the distribution of the smart health cards in virtual mode. Around 1.5 lakh people in the district will benefit from the BSKY smart health card scheme.

He also dedicated different projects worth Rs 300 crores for the people of Sonepur.

It may be noted that the smart cardholders under the scheme can avail free treatment at all government hospitals in the state and more than 200 private hospitals in the country.

Each family is entitled to treatment benefits up to Rs 5 lakh per annum and in the case of women, the limit is Rs 10 lakh under the BSKY scheme.
