Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday thanked all the people and the stake-holders involved in Rath Yatra in Puri for its successful completion amid COVID restrictions.
Lauding the servitors for their dedication and discipline in performing the rituals of the festival in time, the chief minister said it was possible due to the blessings of the Lords.
Naveen also appreciated the efforts of the temple administration, police officials, district administration, Puri Municipality and Fire Brigade for organising the festival in close coordination. The arrangements of Information and Public Relations department for uninterrupted telecast of the Rath Yatra enabled the devotees to witness the pulling of chariots from their homes, he added.
Finally, the chief minister appreciated the people of Pilgrim Town for cooperating with the administration by following the COVID restrictions and the prohibitory orders during the festival.
