Bhubaneswar: Political parties in Odisha have intensified campaigning for the first phase Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Odisha with the April 9 deadline for the same nearing closer. BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who has been touring the state seeking votes for party candidates, will visit Nabarangpur district to attend public meetings, on Saturday.
As per the schedule, the Chief Minister will begin the poll campaign with a meeting at Raighar. Thereafter, he will address public meetings in Jharigan, Maidalpur, Papadahandi and Nabarangpur.
After completing his campaign in Nabarangpur district, the Chief Minister will visit Kotpad in Koraput district in the afternoon, where he will conduct a road show.
The first-phase elections to Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Berhampur and Koraput Lok Sabha seats and 28 Assembly constituencies, falling under it, will be held on April 11.
Of the four Lok Sabha constituencies, the Chief Minister has already conducted poll campaign in Berhampur and Koraput.
