Cuttack: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will dedicate free diagnostic and treatment services to patients at Acharya Harihar PG Institute of Cancer (AHPGIC) in Odisha’s Cuttack city on Thursday.
This was informed by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) in its official Twitter account.
The free services will be available under the newly set up Positron Emission Tomography and Computed Tomography (PET CT) scan, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Inpatient Department (IPD) in the institute. The PET-CT scan facility has been available for patients since June 29.
It is pertinent to mention here that the 400-bed hospital caters to the needs of thousands of cancer patients of not only Odisha but also parts of neighbouring Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Bengal. It has an annual patient turnout of 23,000 to 33,000.
