Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday told the party workers to visit panchayats and wards so that they can know the problems faced by the people and inform him about their needs.
Addressing the party workers after BJD’s victory in bypolls for Tirtol and Balasore Assembly constituencies through video-conference, Naveen efforts will be made to fulfil the promises made by the party during the election campaign.
Stating that BJD’s victory in the bypolls is a victory of the masses, he gave the credit for it to the people, party workers, observers, and leaders.
Thanking the voters of the two constituencies for turning out in large number to cast their votes, the chief minister said it was not easy to campaign during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He congratulated the newly elected MLAs Swarup Das and Bijay Shankar Das and urged them to continue their service to the people of their constituencies.
