According to aggregator apps, most hotels in Navi Mumbai are fully booked on these dates, when the musical band Coldplay is set to perform at DY Patil Stadium. Coldplay is a popular music band. They are known for their alternative rock sound and songs like “Yellow,” “Clocks,” and “Fix You.”
Courtyard by Marriott near DY Patil Stadium and Taj Vivanta in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, do not have any rooms available for the nights of January 18-19-21 on both Booking.com and Makemytrip.com. Regenza by Tunga, in Vashi, is charging Rs 4.45 lakh for three nights during the concert.
ITC’s Fortune Select Exotica of the ITC Hotel Group in Vashi is charging Rs 2.45 lakh for one room for three nights between January 17 and 20, a report in Hindustan Times said.
A few km away, Fern Residency in Turbhe is charging almost Rs 2 lakh for one room for two people for three nights during the Coldplay show.
The hotel aggregator apps further stated that these hotels charge between Rs 7,000 and Rs 30,000 for a night for one room on normal days.
Meanwhile, in view of quick sale of tickets and demand from the fans, Coldplay has reportedly agreed to perform for another day on January 21.
