Puri: With the pilgrim town hosting the Navy Day celebrations, schools within Puri municipality and its periphery will remain closed on Wednesday.
It is aimed at allowing student to participate in the event, which will be presided over by President Droupadi Murmu. and also help to manage traffic for which an advisory has been issued, sources said.
TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS AND PARKING ZONES
Four-wheelers from Bhubaneswar will be diverted from Maltipatpur towards ROB and Grid Station and can park the vehicles at Talabania.
This diversion is also applicable for people commuting on two-wheelers coming from Bhubaneswar, who will then take Batagaon Mangalahat by-pass and park the vehicles at Sterling Resort Chhak.
Spectators and devotees coming from Konark will park their four-wheelers and two-wheelers at Talabania.
Those from Brahmagiri can park their vehicles at Sterling Resort Chhak.
People with orange passes can park vehicles at Jail Road and Saradhabali
The blue pass holders will have to park vehicles at Hotel Nilachal Ashok, Blessed Sacrament and SCS college.
In a video message, Puri SP Vinit Agrawal also requested people to cooperate with police for smooth regulation of the Navy Day celebration, being held for the first time in Odisha, and darshan at Shree Jagannath Temple here.
