Baripada: A helicopter of the Indian Navy made an emergency landing in a paddy field at Amarada village under Rasagovindapur block of Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Wednesday.
As per information, the incident took place when the chopper reportedly encountered a technical snag during its flight.
Farmers working in the field were taken aback when they witnessed the helicopter hovering over the area before landing in a nearby field to avoid flying paddy stubble
The unexpected landing of the copper drew the attention of local residents, who gathered at the scene to observe the helicopter up close.
As per reports, the pilot and crew members were safe. After landing, the pilot began addressing the technical issue that led to the emergency landing. It took around 30 minutes to resolve the problem and the helicopter was ready to take off.
After a brief halt of around 45 minutes, the helicopter successfully resumed its journey, taking off from the paddy field without further incident.
