Nawab Malik’s Fresh Salvo: SLCs Reveal Sameer Wankhede’s ‘Muslim’ Identity; Fake NDPS Case Threat To Ex-Wife

Bhubaneswar: Continuing his tirade against NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede, Nationalist Congress Party Minister Nawab Malik on Thursday made two sensational disclosures.

To support his claim that Wankhede got the IRS job by fraudulently claiming that he was from the Scheduled Caste, Malik shared his school leaving certificates (SLCs) from St. Paul High School Dadar, which he left on June 27, 1986, as a Class II student a year after admission (June 13, 1985), to join the St. Joseph School, Wadala.

In the two handwritten certificates, the pupil’s name has been mentioned as Sameer Dawood Wankhede, DoB 14-12-1979 in words too and religion as ‘Muslim’.

“I have already submitted these and other details to the Bombay High Court, which will pass its interim orders later today. Wankhede has been indulging in frauds and is an expert in creating ‘fake certificates’,” Malik told the media.

To the counter by the Wankhede family, which produced a computer-generated certificate of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation that mentions Zahedbano and Dnyandeo Kachruji Wankhede as his mother and father respectively, Malik pointed out that the SLCs are from the electronic records of all the original old handwritten documents scanned by the civic body.

“He further alleged that Wankhede had ‘framed’ his neighbour, an IPS officer’s son, and a relative of his former wife in a fake NDPS case to prevent them from revealing the truths about him, the Economic Times reported.

“Wankhede did this after a fight between him and the IPS officer. The IPS officer’s son has filed a bail application claiming that there were no raids or seizures from his house (as claimed by the NCB) and his son was arrested from outside his home. The IPS officer is submitting CCTV footage of the building to show the same,” Malik was quoted as saying by the national daily.

He said that has been threatening to get his former wife’s family arrested in an NDPS case. “Drugs were planted and a cousin brother of the girl’s family was arrested through the Anti-Narcotics cell (of the state police),” he alleged.
