Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had reportedly conducted a surprise raid on a cruise ship party off the coast of Mumbai on Saturday. It was speculated that a Bollywood bigwig’s son was detained following the raid.
However, senior an NCB official confirmed to ETimes that it was Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan who was detained by officials after the surprise raid. “An investigation is on him,” the senior official said.
According to a source close to the probe, Aryan was taken in for questioning, but there was probably no involvement in the possession of drugs, the report said.
The speculation is also rife that another Bollywood actor’s son has been detained in the same case, though there’s no confirmation on that yet.
“Maharashtra: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) detained at least 10 persons during a raid conducted at a party being held on a cruise in Mumbai. Details awaited, says the agency,” news agency ANI confirmed the news on Twitter on Saturday.
The sources in NCB also revealed that the probe agency officials had inspected Aryan’s phone to check whether he has any direct involvement in the possession or consumption of drugs.
