NCB Let Off BJP Leader’s Kin In Mumbai Cruise Drugs Bust: Nawab Malik

Mumbai: Maharashtra Minority Affairs Minister Nawab Malik on Saturday alleged that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) let off a BJP leader’s relative who was caught during the raid on the same cruise ship in which Aryan Khan and his friends were present.

Nawab Malik claimed that the NCB team had detained Rishabh Sachdev, brother-in-law of BJP leader Mohit Kambhoj (Bhartiya), but he was immediately released soon after the drugs bust. Mohit Kambhoj is the former president of Mumbai BJP Yuva Morcha, India Today reported.

The minister alleged that the anti-drugs agency let off three people, including Rishabh Sachdev. The other two allowed to walk free were Pratik Gaba and Amir Furniturewala.

“Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede gave vague statements about the number of people detained after the raid. He said 8-10 people were detained. There were 11 people. Local police were keeping an eye. As per information with local police, 11 people were detained, but by morning the number had come down to eight. Three people were let off,” Malik told reporters during a press conference on Saturday.

He also showed video evidence where Rishabh Sachdev, Pratik Gaba and Amir Furniturewala were allegedly taken inside the NCB office in Mumbai and later where they were let off. The NCP leader also shared photos of Rishabh Sachdev with Mohit Kambhoj and his family.

“Our information is that BJP leaders from the state and Delhi made phone calls to release Rishabh Sachdeva, Pratik Gaba and Amir Furniturewala. Wankhede must answer why they were let off. What was the interrogation done before letting them off?” said Malik.

He further alleged that the raid aboard the Cordelia Cruises’ luxury liner was planned to implicate certain people.

“This raid is all fake. Nothing was found on Aryan Khan. Pratik Gaba and Amir Furniturewala brought him there to implicate him. Aryan Khan went there on an invitation by Gaba and Furniturewala,” charged Malik.
