‘An Inspiring Tale’ In Neena Gupta’s Birthday Wish For Priyanka Chopra

Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra, the global icon turned 38 on Saturday, July 18. Wishes for the stars kept pouring in. One such birthday greeting came from veteran actress Neena Gupta.

Now, what’s special about her wish to PC?

Neena shared a clip wishing PC and spoke about the time when PC inspired her to fly to Los Angeles amid hectic schedule for auditions. She was called for an audition in Los Angeles, however, due to time crunch, she wanted to say no to it. It was then a video of the Priyanka inspired her and she flew to LA.

Neena Gupta only had three days in hand to travel back and forth to the US and India. She had a film to shoot for in India. Priyanka in her video talked about having to attend two events around the same time in India and abroad. PC used her time on the flight to catch up some sleep and prepare for those programmes. This was enough for Neena to get inspired.

“I remembered that and said to myself, ‘Yes, I can also do it’,” Neena said in the video, and added, “Although I didn’t get the film, Priyanka inspired me a lot (sic).”
