New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline to apply for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2022.
The last date has been extended till May 15 (9 pm). The application fee can be submitted till 11:50 pm (May 15).
Earlier, the application process was to conclude on May 6.
According to the NTA, the last date has been extended after the Director General, Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), decided to use the scores of NEET (UG) for the selection of women candidates for admission to the BSc (Nursing) course 2022 at AFMS colleges.
The NEET scores will be used for admission to six nursing colleges of AFMS — College of Nursing, AFMC Pune; College of Nursing, CH (EC) Kolkata; College of Nursing, INHS Asvini, Mumbai; College of Nursing, AH (R&R) New Delhi; College of Nursing, CH (CC) Lucknow and College of Nursing, CH (AF) Bangalore.
With the application deadline extended, students are hopeful that the exam will also be postponed. The NTA, however, has not made any fresh announcement regarding the exam date, which is scheduled on July 17.
