NEET Aspirant From Odisha Found Dead Under Mysterious Circumstances In Kota Hostel Room

Bhubaneswar: A 24-year-old NEET aspirant from Odisha was found dead in his hostel room at Rajiv Gandhi Nagar in Rajasthan’s Kota around noon on Saturday.

Hailing from Abhayapur under Jarada police limits in Ganjam district, Roshan Kumar Patro had moved to Kota four months ago for NEET coaching, accompanied by his cousin. He lived in room 407 on the fourth floor of the hostel, while his cousin stayed on the fifth floor.

According to sources, Roshan and his friends studied late into the night on Friday. When he did not show up for lunch at noon the following day, his cousin went to check on him but got no response despite repeated calls and knocks. He then informed the warden, who unlocked the room with a spare key and discovered Roshan unresponsive on his bed.

Jawahar Nagar police station Circle Inspector, Ramlaxman said Roshan was found with vomit near his mouth and was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead. “The cause of death will become clear only after the post-mortem report and further inquiry into the matter,” the circle inspector told PTI.

Meanwhile, the FSL team visited the room where the body was found and collected necessary evidence for the investigation.
