New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday arrested a journalist in Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh in connection with the NEET-UG 2024 paper leak case.
The journalist, identified as Mohammad Jamaluddin, works for a Hindi newspaper.
His arrest comes a day after CBI detained Ehsanul Haque and Imtiaz Alam, principal and vice-principal, respectively, of Oasis School, for questioning in the case.
Haque and Alam are suspected to have played a role in the paper leak, reported Hindustan Times.
Haque was Hazaribagh district coordinator for the NEET-UG exam which was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on May 5, officials said.
Alam was designated as NTA’s observer and centre coordinator for Oasis School.
CBI sleuths questioned five others ion Hazaribagh.
In Gujarat, CBI teams conducted searches at seven locations in Godhra, Kheda, Ahmedabad and Anand based on an FIR lodged with Godhra police.
