New Delhi: The National Education Policy-2020 will usher in a revolutionary change in the educational system in the country and pave the way for Vision-2047 of prime minister Narendra Modi, said Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday.
Speaking at a function organised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), here on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, Pradhan said the NEP-2020 will help create global citizens and establish India as a knowledge economy.
On the occasion, he presented AICTE-Visvesvaraya Best Teacher Award to 17 professors in engineering and technology and the AICTE-Dr Pritam Singh Best Teacher Award in Management Education to 3 faculty members.
He also presented Chhatra Vishwakarma Award and Clean and Smart Campus Award, 2020 to the winners.
The minister also saw the demonstration of different models prepared by the students like drone, plastic bio-disposal, portable air-conditioning for PPE kit and smart maks.
