Bhubaneswar: As part of its move to improve the infrastructure of educational institutions, the Odisha government has sanctioned Rs 37 crore for Rajdhani College in Bhubaneswar.
According to sources, the government has approved the fund for construction of a new academic block of the college. Besides, Rs 7.83 lakh has been sanctioned for installation of LED lights in the college campus and other development projects.
The R&B division has been assigned the construction work of the new academic block which will have three floors to accommodate adequate number of classrooms for the students.
Speaking to media persons, in-charge principal of the college Arun Kumar Samal said they have been facing shortage of classrooms for the students for quite some time. The new academic block will solve the problem, he hoped. Around 3,000 students have been enrolled in the college for under-graduate (UG) and post-graduate (PG) courses at present.
