New Delhi: BMW on Monday launched a base model diesel variant of the X5 SUV. Named xDrive30d SportX, it is priced at Rs 74.90 lakh — around Rs 8 lakh cheaper than xDrive30d xLine.
The entry variant, as expected, doesn’t have fancy features like laser headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels, Comfort Access System for the split tail gate, 360-degree camera, wireless charging, BMW Display Key with LCD display, Harman Kardon audio system and leather upholstery.
It is powered by the same 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder diesel engine that makes 261 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 620 Nm of torque @ 1,500-2,500 rpm. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.
