Jeypore/Malkangiri: Chief Justice Dr S Muralidhar on Friday inaugurated the newly constructed buildings of District Court of Koraput at Jeypore and District Court of Malkangiri through video-conferencing.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Justice Muralidhar said the district courts will help the litigants become aware of the legal procedures and thus ensure justice to them at a faster pace.
The four-storey Koraput district court has been constructed at a cost of Rs 22 crore on 1.96 lakh square feet area. It has special chambers for 17 subordinate courts. The foundation stone of the building was laid by Justice Shatrughna Pujahari of the High Court in 2014.
Justice Pujahari, Justice SK Panigrahi, Justice BR Sarangi, Justice SK Sahoo and Justice Savitri Ratho of the High Court and administrative judges of Koraput and Malkangiri courts were present on the occasion.
