Bhubaneswar: New COVID-19 cases in Odisha came down further by over 300 on Sunday with 2,546 cases recorded overnight. The state had reported 2,854 new cases a day earlier.
Of the new cases reported in the alst 24 hours, 1,504 are in quarantine centres and 1,042 are local contacts.
Among the districts, Khurda led the tally with 410 new cases, followed by Angul (208), Sundargarh (161), Cuttack (134), Mayurbhanj (120), Balasore (103), Bargarh (92), Jajpur (90), Nuapada (88), Jagatsinghpur (86), Balangir (85), Sambalpur (84), Kalahandi (75), Kendrapada (75), Koraput (72), Puri (70), Nabarangpur (60), Jharsuguda (57), Kandhamal (49), Nayagarh (48), Sonepur (48), Keonjhar (43), Boudh (37), Bhadrak (34), Ganjam (34), Malkangiri (27), Dhenkanal (25), Rayagada (21), Deogarh (14) and Gajapati (10).
Besides, the state poll has 86 cases.
At present, Odisha’s case tally stands at 2,52,239. Of these, 26,891 are active cases and 2,24,273 patients have recovered.
