New COVID-19 Cases Soar To 190 In Bhubaneswar; Over 10 Children Infected

Bhubaneswar: A day after Bhubaneswar saw a slight drop in daily COVID-19 caseload, the number soared to 190 on Monday.

The city had seen 148 cases on Sunday after reported 178 new infections on Saturday.

According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 152 among them are local contact cases and 38 are from quarantine having links with earlier positive cases.

The highest of 10 cases have been reported from Khandagiri, followed by nine each from Jharpada and Badagarh and seven each from Samantarapur and Mancheswar.

Among the quarantine cases, five are from VSS Nagar and eight are below the age of 15 years.

The last 24 hours also saw 56 patients getting cured of the infection.

With this, Bhubaneswar now has 1111 active cases.
