New COVID-19 Infections Cross 400 For Second Day In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: An increase in daily COVID-19 infections was reported in the capital city in the last 24 hours. For the second consecutive day, Bhubaneswar registered cases above 400.

A total of 443 new COVID positives were detected in the last 24 hours against 419 cases the previous day.

Of the new infections, 88 are quarantine and 355 are local contacts, according to the daily update shared by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

With the recovery of 615 patients during this period, the city has now 2,494 active cases.

The highest of 28 cases were from Patia followed by Chandrasekharpur (22), Laxmisagar (22), Dumduma (19) and Nayapalli (17).

The cumulative total of COVID cases in the city crossed 86,000 with a tally of 86,070.

The capital city had reported 372 COVID-19 infections on Wednesday and 389 the previous day.
