Bhubaneswar: The capital city reported a sharp fall in COVID-19 cases with 287 new infections during the last 24 hours. The city has reported 332 positives the previous day.
Of the new cases, 32 were from quarantine and 255 were local contacts, tweeted Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation on Sunday.
The highest of 19 cases were from Chandrasekhapur followed by 18 from Patia area and 12 each from Baramunda and Mancheswar areas.
As many as 537 patients recovered during this period. With this, the city has now 1854 active cases.
The total caseload of the city reached to 86,689 with detection of the fresh cases.
A total of 84,412 persons have recovered, so far. The city death toll rose to 402.
