Washington: A new COVID-19 test uses electrodes made from graphite. This is the same material used in pencil lead.

Researchers at University of Pennsylvania noted that it is a cheaper and faster method of detecting COVID-19 specially in areas where more expensive tests are not found easily.

The graphite electrodes would cost $1.50 per test.
