Bhubaneswar: New Delhi-bound IndiGo flight made an emergency landing at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Odisha capital on Monday following a technical snag.
Source said that the aircraft (IndiGo 6E 2065) developed ‘technical issue’ in its left engine around 25 minutes after taking off from airport here at 7.50 am and the pilot announced mid-air about his decision to return to the Bhubaneswar, where it landed around 8.30 am.
The BPIA director informed that the flight will depart after the necessary approval from the DGCA. Later, the passengers were asked to alight from the flight, which sources added was hit by bird and it badly damaged its left engine.
