Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has been diverting New Delhi-bound important trains from Bhubaneswar and Puri via Hijli, bypassing Kharagpur from the third week of April in view of the operational reasons.
All the diverted trains have stoppages at Hijli instead of Kharagpur, said an ECoR release.
According to the release, 22811/22812 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express via Adra from Bhubaneswar and from New Delhi has been running from April 15 and 16 respectively via Bhadrak-Hijli-Nimpura Yard-Gokulpur-Midnapur.
As per the schedule, Rajdhani Express from Bhubaneswar will arrive at Hijli at 1555 hours and leave at 1610 hours for New Delhi. On its return journey, the train will arrive at Hijli at 1055 hours and leave at 1110 hours fo Bhubaneswar.
22823/22824 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express via Tatanagar from Bhubaneswar and from New Delhi has been running from April 16 and 14 respectively via Bhadrak-Hijli-Nimpura Yard—Kalaikunda-Tatanagar.
This train will arrive at Hijli at 1350 hours and leave at 1405 hours for New Delhi. On its return journey, the train will arrive at Hijli at 1245 hours and leave at 1300 hours towards Bhubaneswar.
12801/12802 Puri-New Delhi-Puri Purusottam Express has been running from both the directions from March 24 via Bhadrak-Hijli-Nimpura Yard—Kalaikunda-Tatanagar.
This train from Puri will arrive at Hijli at 0338 hours and leave at 0353 hours towards New Delhi. On its return journey, the train from New Delhi will arrive at Hijli at 2233 hours and leave at 2248 hours towards Puri.
12815/12816 Puri-New Delhi-Puri Nandankanan Express from both the directions has been running from March 25 via Bhadrak-Hijli-Nimpura Yard-Gokulpur-Midnapur.
This Express train from Puri will arrive at Hijli at 1700 hours and leave at 1715 hours towards New Delhi. On its return journey, it will arrive at Hijli at 0510 hours and leave at 0525 hours towards Puri.
12875/12876 Puri-New Delhi-Puri Neelachal Express train will run from both the directions from August 3 via Bhadrak-Hijli-Nimpura Yard—Kalaikunda-Tatanagar.
This Express train from Puri will arrive at Hijli at 1700 hours and leave at 1715 hours for New Delhi. On its return journey, the train will arrive at Hijli at 0955 hours and will leave at 1010 hours towards Puri.
From August 1 onward, the timing of the above trains will be mentioned in the Passenger Reservation System having stoppage at Hijli instead of Kharagpur, the release added.
