Berhampur: To provide good quality nutritious food to COVID-19 patients for their speedy recovery, the Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) has roped in a Mumbai-based wellness company to prepare a new effective diet plan for those undergoing treatment at COVID hospitals and COVID care centres.
“Collaboration with Health-Hatch, a Mumbai based firm, with specialization in medical diets has been done, menu served here will be as per the diet prepared by the firm, to ensure nutritional support and faster recovery,” the BeMC tweeted.
Elaborating on this initiative, BeMC Commissioner Chakravarti Singh Rathore said that rich-based diet had led to an increase in the blood sugar of many patients. The civic body, therefore, got in touch with this firm to prepare a diet plan that will help to keep the sugar levels of the patients under control.
The BeMC has also identified the location of 114 new positive cases in the city, which has reported 361 new infections in the last three days.
Meanwhile, a 500-bed COVID-19 care facility has become operational near Amba Market in Berhampur.
