Mumbai: Exactly a week after the birth of their daughter, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh reached home on Sunday after the former was discharged from hospital.
Videos of the duo leaving the HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai with the newborn in a car have surfaced on the internet, marking their first public appearance with the baby.
The couple welcomed their first child on September 8, six years after marriage in 2018. The duo shared the news of their daughter’s birth in a simple yet elegant Instagram message which read: “Welcome Baby Girl! 8.9.2024.”
As soon as they broke the news, social media was flooded with congratulatory messages. Arjun Kapoor commented, Laxmi aayi hai! The queen is here!! Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Parineeti Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Malaika Arora, Shraddha Kapoor, Kirti Sanon, and Siddhant Chaturvedi joined hundreds of others from Bollywood to wish the couple and the newborn.
Giving a first glimpse of her new life as a mom, Deepika also changed her Instagram bio and wrote, “Feed.Burp.Sleep.Repeat.”
Previously, actor Shah Rukh Khan had visited Deepika in the hospital to bless her newborn. Industrialist Mukesh Ambani too was seen visiting the actress at the hospital.
On the professional front, Deepika is set to make her debut in Rohit Shetty’s ‘cop universe’ as Shakti Shetty in ‘Singham Again.’ Having completed filming, she will reportedly take a maternity break until March 2025.
Ranveer is currently shooting for Aditya Dhar’s upcoming film. He will spend the next few days with his wife and newborn daughter.
