Bhubaneswar: The Railways has sanctioned a halt station at Manchapada between Jugpura and Thakurtota stations of Rupsa-Bangriposi section in Kharagpur division.
According to an ECoR release, this has been long pending demand of the residents of Manchapada and nearby villages in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had assured to fulfil the demand during his visit to the area on January 13. “The Union Minister with his special initiative got the sanction from Railway Board recently to construct a Halt station at Manchapada,” it added.
The new station will facilitate faster communication for the students, small traders, workers, daily passengers, it added.
