Bhubaneswar: Two Odisha-cadre IAS officers, Chandra Sekhar Kumar and Ashok Meena, have been given new postings in the central government.
These are among the several postings approved by Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Friday.
Kumar, a 1992-batch officer, has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs. He was serving as Special Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
Meena, a 1993-batch officer, has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti. He will take over as Secretary, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti following the retirement of Vini Mahajan on October 31, the official notification said.
Meena was serving as Chairman & Managing Director, Food Corporation of India.
