Bhubaneswar: Partha Mazumder assumed charge as Regional Executive Director (Eastern Region-II), NTPC on Monday. He will look after the power stations and projects situated in Odisha, Jharkhand and Assam.
Prior to this assignment, Partha Mazumder was Regional Executive Director NTPC (Coal Mining) at Ranchi. In his career spanning more than 38 years, Mazumder has served NTPC, a Maharatna Company, in various departments like Operation & Maintenance, Fuel Management, Technical Services at different Power Projects/Stations, and also in the Corporate Business Development, Consultancy Wing and Coal Mining.
Mazumder joined NTPC in 1985 as an Engineering Executive Trainee after graduating in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He also holds a PG Certificate in Business Management from XLRI Jamshedpur.
He is also a nominated director in NTPC Mining Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC; CIL-NTPC Urja Private Limited, a 50:50 Joint Venture Company of NTPC with Coal India Ltd and Anushakti Vidhyut Nigam Limited, a JV between Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. and NTPC Limited.
