Bhubaneswar: The Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar has introduced stringent rules for conducting different laboratory tests in order to curb the activities of middlemen and agents.
As per the new guidelines, No MRI and CT Scan will be done at the hospital without proper prescription. Patients will not be able to get these tests done without prescription from a doctor.
The hospital authorities were reported to have received complaints about some patients presenting fake prescriptions in order to get tests free of cost at the medical facility.
Some unscrupulous middlemen were also allegedly collecting money from the patients for conducting MRI and CT Scan at the hospital. Therefore, in order to check the role of agents, the fresh SOP has been laid down by the hospital authorities.
