Bhubaneswar: Odisha capital Bhubaneswar will have air connectivity with four more cities in the country soon if things move as per plans.
This information was given by Director of the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) Prasanna Pradhan on Saturday.
Flight services from Bhubaneswar’s BPIA to four more Indian cities — Surat, Dehradun, Chandigarh and Jammu — will be launched soon. The process in this regard has already been initiated, he said.
He said the new terminal link building at BPIA will be made operational by the New Year 2024. “We have applied for the security clearance for the new building. We will hold discussions with all stakeholders including the CISF and Customs department before designing the standard operating procedure (SOP) in this regard,” said Pradhan.
