The famous Tirupati temple will soon have another address, up north of India.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has been allotted land in Jammu to build a temple and other infrastructure including pilgrims’ amenities complex, Veda Patasala (Vedas school), spiritual/meditation centre, office, residential quarters and parking lot.
The Administrative Council (AC), which met under the chairmanship of Jammu & Kashmir’s lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha, approved the proposal to release 496 Kanal 17 Marla of land for the project.
Once the project is completed, the temple and infrastructure will be another destination for religious tourists who travel to Jammu & Kashmir to visit the sacred Mata Vaishno Devi and Amarnath shrines.
