Bhubaneswar: As part of the strict enforcement of the new traffic rules, the commissionerate police collected a fine of Rs 2.13 lakh from violators in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack on the first day on Sunday.
Bhubaneswar DCP Anup Sahu said 312 traffic violators were penalized under the new Motor Vehicles Act.
The DCP informed that the enforcement drive will be intensified in the coming days and requested the denizens to abide by traffic rules.
