Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has decided to introduce a new uniform for Fire Service personnel.
According to a notification by the Home Department, all ranks of men and officers of all wings of the Fire Service up to the rank of the Assistant Fire Officer (AFO) and equivalent will have red-coloured track pant with yellow stripes on the outer length with the words “Odisha Fire Service” written at the back and along the length of the trousers and the yellow-coloured T-shirt will have the word “Fire’ in fluorescent red colour at the back.
The new uniform will be worn during non-fire operational duties including disaster response, special service calls, flood and rescue duties etc., the notification added.
